happy? or just NOT mad

Like I suggested in class last week I don't think that anyone is ever happy with a person in power. I think that no matter what a politician does there isn't anyway to win when it comes to a open/public office where the people get to openly see and feel what you're doing or what you're NOT doing for that matter. I think its very annoying and it has dulled my news watching nerves. Its too the point that when I sit and watch the news I laugh because I know that it's a just propaganda to get the public attention averted to things that truly don't matter.
Now with that being said No one will ever be happy with Granholm, she just wont be able to do anything correct in the eyes of the people. I'm not saying that I like her and/or agree with some of her policy decisions, but I don't think that she would take away $165 per student if she could figure out a way to take that 52 million from another sector. Our state is truly in some tuff times that we haven't really seen since the early eighties, sadly this is a sacrifice we will have to make to get through it. Hopefully we will be able to look back at this and think of this as the beginning of the end for our money woes.

  1. I agree, her back is against the wall..the only thing I will add is after listening to Andy Courilus speak, I think I spelled that wrong, he suggested that she is prevented a bit by her leadership style. Unlike John Engler who would get down in the chambers and pressure to get things hammered out Andy claims that is not her style and in times like this you need to be that way. Take that for what it is worth, just an insiders perspective (Andy's) who happens to also be a democrat.
